This 7 reel cluster pays game comes with an impressively high RTP of 98% and a maximum win of 5,000x bet.
The feature set begins with tumbling reels which activate when a winning combination is formed. Initially, the symbols involved in the win are removed from the reels, with new ones falling down to replace them. This works in conjunction with the Multiplier Spots aspect of the game. Whenever a winning symbol first explodes, it marks a spot on the grid. The second time a symbol explodes on the same spot, a multiplier starting at x2 is added to it. Further wins on the same position cause the value to double up to a maximum of 128x. If the free spins are triggered by landing three or more scatters in view, all marked spots and multipliers remain in place for the duration of the bonus.

Sugar Twist Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
There is a chance this is the first time you have come across a slot in this particular style, but Sugar Twist is, in fact, a direct clone of Pragmatic Play’s earlier release Sugar Rush. So why, other than changing a few symbols in the game, would you re-release it with a slightly different name? The answer, my fellow slot fans, is that Sugar Twist comes with a boosted RTP rate of 98%, which is 1.5% higher than its predecessor, which came in at 96.50%. The question has to be, was it worth making another game just to ramp up the return to player percentage? The proof will be in the pudding, as they say, but Sugar Rush was an extremely popular game, so it makes sense that Sugar Twist will be too. So, without further a do, and as Marvin Gaye would say, or Ed Sheeran perhaps, let’s get it on!
Starting with the paytable and the highest paying symbol, we have the pink lollipop valued at 150x bet for clusters of 15 or more. Next is the orange love heart worth 100x bet, followed by the purple jellybean at 60x bet, and the green star at 40x bet if 15 or more are part of a winning cluster. Then, dropping to the lower pays, there are three coloured fish, with the red paying 30x, the pink 25x, and finally, the orange fish, which pays 20x the bet if clusters of 15 or more are hit.
It’s pretty much commonplace these days that every Pragmatic slot you come across has a wide variety of stake sizes you can play it at. The same can be said for Sugar Twist, with the minimum bet size starting at €0.20 and reaching a maximum of €100. Base Game & Modifiers
Sugar Twist is played over a super grid that is a whopping 7×7 in size, housing a total of 49 randomly placed symbols on each spin. Players will be awarded a win when a minimum of 5 matching symbols connect adjacently anywhere within the playfield. All wins will trigger the tumbling reels mechanic, which first will remove winning symbols from the grid before filling the empty spaces with new symbols providing additional chances to win from just one paid spin.
Multiplier Spots
When a symbol is removed from the reels through the reel tumble feature, it will explode and leave a spot where it was positioned on the grid. If another symbol explodes in this same position, a multiplier of x2 will be added. Further wins on that same spot will then double the value of the multiplier up to a maximum of 128x. Additionally, all wins that hit on top of the multipliers will have their values applied to them. If more than one multiplier is involved, their values will be added together before being applied to any wins. At the end of each base game series of spins, all multipliers and spots are removed from the reels.

Hitting 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 bonus scatter symbols in the base game will trigger the main feature and award 10, 12, 15, 20, or 30 free spins, respectively.

In the free spins feature, any multiplier spots or multiplier values that are activated will remain in play and not reset for the duration of the bonus. Furthermore, landing 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 scatters whilst the feature is active will add an extra 10, 12, 15, 20, or 30 spins to your current total.

Final Thoughts
The improvement in RTP up to 98% is a huge plus point for Sugar Twist, but I can't work out why Pragmatic didn't choose to up the max win to at least 10,000x too.However, this is still a great game, and in the short amount of time I was testing it with bonus buys, it did seem to be more generous than Sugar Rush. Whether that will prove to be the case once it's out in the wild, I guess we will find out soon, but this is certainly a slot I would recommend you try.
