All of the features included in this game are linked with vampires in one way or another. First, the wild symbols pack a ‘vampire bite’, allowing them to spread from one position to the next. Transylvania Night Of Blood Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
Vampires, and Dracula specifically, used to be a favourite theme amongst online slot developers. Microgaming’s Immortal Romance was one of the most popular online slots in the world for years, with NetEnt’s Bloodsuckers franchise not far behind. Red Tiger recently licensed the Blood Suckers name for a new Megaways interpretation of the game, which was a fun update, but probably won’t leave the same lasting impression that the original game did. Transylvania – Night of Blood features all the stereotypical imagery you would expect for a vampire-themed game: daggers, candles, cups of blood, onions and the like, and the presentation is every bit as impressive as we have come to expect from a top-tier developer in 2023. But, of course, the real question is how does it pay?
The highest-paying symbol is a revolver – presumably loaded with silver bullets – but its payout is only 8x the total stake for a full payway of six of a kind. The crucifix-styled dagger awards 6x your bet for all six symbols, followed by the candlestick at 5x, the goblet of blood at 4x, and the onion at 3x. The lower half of the paytable consists of five elaborately drawn royal symbols with payouts that range between 0.8x and 2.5x your bet for a six of a kind combination. These payouts may not seem all that impressive at first glance, but there are two mitigating factors at play here; first, the 4,096 payways, and second, all of the symbols are clustered into large stacks, making it much easier to win on a large number of payways simultaneously.
The minimum bet available in Transylvania – Night of Blood is just €0.10 per spin, and plenty of intermediate bets are available before you reach the maximum of €10.00 per round. So although this may look like somewhat of a limited bet range, there will be plenty of choice for all who those who opt to spin the reels on the game.
Base Game & Modifiers
The basic gameplay of Transylvania – Night of Blood will be instantly familiar to anybody with previous experience with other popular 4,096-way slots such as Raging Rhino or Buffalo Blitz. The playfield consists of six reels, each comprised of four rows, and all wins require at least three matching symbols on adjacent reels starting from the left. However, there are a few surprises as Red Tiger has wisely opted to include some base game modifiers.
Vampire Bite
On any spin, between two and ten vampire bites may be added randomly to the middle four reels. Any symbols which land on a position that has suffered a vampire bite will be instantly transformed into wild symbols.
Werewolf Scratch
On any spin, between two and ten werewolf scratches may be added randomly anywhere on the playfield. Symbols landing on a scratched position will benefit from a multiplier between 2x and 10x. During the base game, the two modifiers listed above cannot occur simultaneously.
Transylvania Night Of Blood Slot Bonus Features
There are three free spin modes available in Transylvania – Night of Blood: Vampire Spins, Werewolf Spins, and Battle Spins. Scatter symbols appear on reels one and six only and come in two variations: Vampire and Werewolf.
Landing two Vampire scatters will trigger the vampire spins, whilst two Werewolf scatters will trigger the werewolf spins. As you can probably guess, hitting one of each type of scatter on a single spin will trigger the Battle Spins!
Vampire Free Spins
Landing both Vampire scatter symbols on reels one and six will award seven free spins where the vampire bite modifier occurs at a much increased rate. Other than this, the rules of this feature are identical to that of the base game.
Werewolf Free Spins
Landing both Werewolf scatter symbols on reels one and six will award seven free spins, where the werewolf scratch modifier occurs at a much increased rate. Other than this, the rules of this feature are identical to that of the base game.
Battle Free Spins
When the vampire and werewolf scatter symbols land simultaneously, an enhanced free spins round is awarded. In this mode, the vampire bite and werewolf scratch modifiers can occur at the same time, potentially awarding up to 10 wild symbols with multipliers of up to 10x.
This is undoubtedly the best part of the game, but I had to spin the slot for more than an hour to trigger it once! Unfortunately, there are no scatter symbols on the reels in any free spin modes either, meaning that there is no possibility of re-triggering the bonus rounds.

The presentation of Transylvania – Night of Blood is fantastic, but the standard vampire and werewolf free spin modes are a huge disappointment compared to the excellent battle spins. If every bonus trigger awarded the battle spins, this game would be unmissable – as it stands, it falls somewhat short of expectations.
