Game Overview
I’ve spent plenty of time lately thoroughly examining all of the different crash games available on the market today. Many of the titles have proven remarkably similar to one another, but the odd one did surprise me and throw in the odd curveball or two… I’m looking at you, Cricket Crash! What treats could Discreet Gaming have for us with Triple Cash or Crash, the developer’s first effort to join the hugely popular crash game category? As ever, we’ll start by examining the vitals: the maximum advertised multiplier of 100,000x would be impressive if it weren’t for the fact that I’m nearly certain that such numbers are completely outside the realm of possibility! As for the RTP, at 96%, this matches the return of most online slots but is somewhat behind other crash games and regular casino table games.
Whilst the developer name advertised within this game is Discreet Gaming, it turns out that the company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Betsoft, which gives us a clue as to the quality we can expect here. When I first started writing about this latest batch of Crash games, I was used to them mostly using an aeroplane as their main sprite; since then, I’ve discovered that rockets are pretty much equally popular in the starring role. The big “innovation” that Discreet seems to have added into Triple Cash or Crash is the ability to bet on up to three astronauts per round – effectively, that’s one more bet than you get in other crash games. The max player profit of €200,000 per round is the highest I can recall seeing by any game of this type so far.
Have you ever been playing a crash game and thought to yourself, “Wow, this would be so much better if I could place three bets instead of two”? If so, our free Triple Cash or Crash demo is certain to be your ideal crash game! Check it out below.
Triple Cash Or Crash Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
Now that I’ve played every crash game I could find available at my favourite online casinos; I feel that I’m experienced enough to compare Triple Cash or Crash well against competitors such as Skyliner, FlyX, and Aviator. The reality here is that there isn’t very much to separate any of those games – the only crash-type games that have truly stood out to me were Spinmatic’s Bank Run, thanks to its 777x jackpot, and Cricket Crash, as the developers did at least make the effort to include some special features along with a frustratingly catch little soundtrack! Triple Cash or Crash boasts some of the best presentation I’ve seen in a crash game so far, but it’s hard to believe that will be enough to attract a large crowd of players.
Crash games such as this only have a single prize, although, in the case of Triple Cash or Crash, you can at least place up to three bets per round. You can set the amount for each of the three bets individually and control whether that bet will Cashout automatically or manually. If you opt for the automatic setting, the game will also let you set the trigger value for each bet separately. The maximum player profit figure of €200,000 quoted on the paytable applies to all of your bets combined – if you only place three bets, that’s a maximum win of €66,666 on each of them. Of course, the only reason to place more than one identical bet is if you were going to aim for a crazily high multiplier – you would need at least two bets to reach the maximum player profit, as the multiplier is capped at 100,000x per round.
Most crash games are happy to let you bet any amount you like, but Discreet has limited the minimum bet available here to €1.00. That means you’ll need to spend €3.00 if you want to play all three bets simultaneously, whilst the maximum limit is set at €100.00 or €300.00 across all three astronauts.
Base Game & Modifiers
The basic gameplay offered in Triple Cash or Crash is no different to other crash games, but the underlying premise is certainly a little bit sillier! After all, your three bets are supposedly related to the three astronauts that you have onboard your shuttle, and your aim is to eject them before the rocket explodes. What do the poor guys do then?! I guess we’re not meant to ask too many questions!
Whilst the rocket is being loaded with fuel, you can take the opportunity to set up your 1-3 bets for the next launch. The ability to set up three bets is a welcome enhancement but doesn’t make a great deal of difference to how the game plays. That being said. I did find myself taking advantage of the option during most rounds and found the limit of two bets in other crash games a little frustrating after I had finished reviewing this one!
Triple Cash Or Crash Bonus Features
There are no bonus rounds included in Triple Cash or Crash.
Pros
- What’s better than two bets? Three bets, of course!
- Maximum win of 100,000x or €200,000 per round.
- Great graphics, animation, and overall presentation.
Cons
- The RTP is lower than that offered by many other similar games.
Final Thoughts
When I learned that this game had been developed by a team at BetSoft, I had high hopes for it, and whilst it’s undoubtedly a high-quality crash game, I still feel that an opportunity was missed to expand on the formula here. I’m sure that one of the major developers will pick up on the popularity of crash games soon and will hopefully make a better effort to mix in some slot-like bonus features to spice up the action!
