Trojan Kingdom Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
The phrase ‘Trojan Horse’ is now a common metaphor meaning any trick or strategy that causes a target to invite a foe into a securely protected area. Most recently, the term has become associated with computer security as a type of malware intended to sneak onto computer systems and provide access to outside attackers. It’s fascinating to wonder what the Romans who built the original horse might have thought of a computer-based trojan horse, although it seems likely they would have no way of comprehending it. The top spot on the paytable is a three-way tie between the wild and the male and female character symbols. All three of these symbols can appear in various heights from one position up to a maximum of four and will pay you 10x the current bet for a full payline of five-of-a-kind. There are three more high-paying symbols; the soldiers’ helmet is worth 4x the bet for all five symbols, the harp has a return of 2.5x, and finally, the winged jug will pay you 2x for a complete pay line. The lower-paying royals are divided into two groups and will pay between 1x and 1.5x for a full line of five. Larger prizes of 15x, 40x, 250x, and 10,000x the current bet are available in the Queen’s Bonus feature.
There’s a familiar problem regarding the betting range offered in Trojan Kingdom – the minimum/maximum wagers are €0.20 and €25.00, respectively, but with just eight intermediate bets in between those limits, you may struggle to find a bet level to suit your bankroll.
Base Game & Modifiers
The base game of Trojan Kingdom utilises a 5×4 playfield with 30 fixed paylines. Regular line wins must begin with the leftmost reel and pay left to right only on adjacent reels. The jackpot prizes shown to the left of the main reel set can only be won via the Queen’s Bonus feature. The Queen’s Bonus can only be triggered during the base game.
Bonus Symbol Collection
At the top of each main reel, you will see a bonus holder, which looks like a cross between a soldier’s helmet and a horse. When a bonus symbol appears on a reel, it will be added to the corresponding bonus holder and collected in the Queen’s Bonus area on the left.
Collecting three bonus symbols on a single reel will activate the wild scrolls feature for that reel. When the wild scrolls feature is active, bonus symbols will no longer appear on that reel. Each time a bonus symbol is collected, there is a random chance that the Queen’s Bonus feature will be triggered.
Wild Scrolls
The Wild Scrolls feature can be activated during the base game, free spins, or super free spin modes. After activation, Wild Scrolls will add expanding sticky wilds to the corresponding reel.
The Wild Scroll will initially position itself on the top row of the triggering reel before expanding downwards by one position on each subsequent spin. When the Wild Scroll has expanded to cover all four positions on the reel, the feature will end, and the scroll will be removed before the next spin
Trojan Kingdom Slot Bonus Features
The Queen’s Bonus feature can be triggered randomly on any spin which contains at least one bonus symbol, whereas the free spins mode requires you to hit all three scatter symbols on reels two, three, and four.
Queen’s Bonus
The Queen’s Bonus is played on a separate screen containing 12 golden coins. The coins hide four sets of three bonus symbols underneath, corresponding to the four jackpot prizes displayed to the left of the main reel set.
The available jackpot prizes are: 15x, 40x, 250x, and 10,000x the current bet. Matching three of the same bonus coin will award the corresponding cash prize.
Free Spins
Landing three free spins symbols will trigger an indefinite number of free spins. In this mode, all wins are boosted by a 2x multiplier. When the free spins feature starts, wild scrolls will activate automatically on reel three. Landing a regular wild symbol on any reel will activate the wild scrolls feature for that reel. The free spins feature will end when no more wild scrolls are visible on the playfield.
Super Free Spins
Every time you land two free spins symbols during the base game but miss the third required to trigger a bonus round, you will add one point to the super free spins upgrade meter.
When the upgrade meter reaches its full capacity of 20 points, the free spins feature is automatically upgraded to super free spins. The next time all three scatter symbols land, the super free spins will be triggered instead of regular free spins.
The progress of the upgrade meter is stored separately for each bet size, so it may be worth sticking to the same wager until you have won your next set of super free spins.
Trojan Kingdom Slot Review Final Thoughts
This game has excellent presentation and a decently sized jackpot prize, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as 4ThePlayer’s 12 Trojan Mysteries slot. Nevertheless, if you are stuck for something new to play, then you’ll probably enjoy spending an hour or two spinning Trojan Kingdom.
