Well, the story goes that a tiki is a wooden or stone carving in a humanoid form, but it isn’t entirely clear how that relates to the first man of the story. Tiki carvings were often used to mark the boundaries of ancient or significant sites; that part does make sense, so let’s leave it there for the time being!
Now that I’m sure you enjoyed my slightly rambling story regarding Tiki and his tiki carvings, you are no doubt keen to learn more about the Tropical Tiki slot game paytable. That sentence made just as much sense as most mythology, didn’t it? At the top of the table, you have three tiki carvings, red pays 2x your bet for a full pay line of six-of-a-kind, green pays 1.2x your bet for all six, and blue pays 1x. If you wish, you can ignore these options and stick to just using the main plus and minus buttons for a minimum bet of €0.25 and a maximum of €125.00 per spin.

Tumble Feature
The tumble feature is almost an inversion of the more common cascading/rolling reels found in many other online slots, such as Megaways. Instead of winning symbols being removed from view and replaced by new symbols, the winning symbols will be locked in place, allowing all other symbols on the screen to be replaced by new ones.
This is theoretically a more generous way of doing things for the player, as you have many more new positions where you can potentially add extra symbols to your winning combination. The new symbols must be adjacent to your existing win for them to be locked in place, so if there is a gap of one reel between a chunk of winning symbols and a secondary chunk of desired symbols, then you are out of luck.
Winnings are only paid after a spin concludes where no additional symbols have been added to your current combination or if the screen is filled with winning symbols.
Tropical Tiki Slot Free Spins Feature
The scatter symbol only appears on reels two through five, but more than one can land on each of those reels, so the paytable still lists winnings for anywhere from four scatters up to a maximum of ten. The payouts are not particularly generous, even for ten scatters, which pay just 35x your stake. You do not receive any additional free spins for scoring more than the minimum of four scatter symbols, which is a little disappointing.
Once you do make your way to the free spins feature, you have eight spins during which to hit the big time. Two new rows are added to the reel set before the bonus begins, and one position will be opened at random before every one of your free spins.
This allows you to unlock a maximum of eight positions during a single bonus round, creating up to 6,400 ways to win. You will only have one free spin at this maximum number of pay ways, so you best hope you get lucky when your time comes, as there is no opportunity to score a retrigger in this game.
Bonus Buy Feature
For 100x your current stake, you can bypass the base game and go straight to the free spins feature. I wasn’t sure if this was such a good deal at first, as I didn’t have any profitable bonus rounds during my first half a dozen attempts. However, things rapidly improved after this, and I concluded that you have much better odds of hitting a huge score during the bonus round than in the base game.

Tropical Tiki boasts a fantastic presentation, but the features and paytable didn’t quite do it for me this time. I can imagine other players will enjoy this slot more than I did, so it could be worth a go if you especially like Pragmatic Play.
