War of Bets (BetGames) Slot Demo & Review

War of Bets by BetGames is one of the only live casino card games of its type. This game gives you fast-paced action and it is one of the easiest live casino table games to learn as similar games like Dragon Tiger and Hi-Lo. As with all live game titles from this live dealer software provider, I fully expected plenty of betting options despite the obviously simple gameplay, and I wasn’t disappointed because BetGames War of Bets has 25 outcomes to stake. As for the RTP, the game rules show a 95% RTP across all betting options, while on the betting screen, the maximum win I saw was around 15x you bet.

The game is played using 6 decks of cards in the shoe, there are 15 seconds between each betting round. There is one card dealt to the Player first, and then one more card to the Dealer second. After the Player area receives a card you have 18 seconds to continue placing new bets, thus giving you two rounds of betting. It’s a great way for BetGames to encourage more bets, it also makes a simple game more engaging, and if you feel your bets from the first round are not working out, you can counter them in the second round of betting.

As BetGames is one of the few software providers that allows you to test its games out using free bet options, you can try the game here on the Demoslot War of Bets review.

BetGames still uses a hint of its traditional orange via a flashing neon light in the background. However, this game is set in what I would best describe as a velvety red, dark- set studio. There aren’t any other games of War of Bets out there to compare it with, but the game is very similar to live Dragon Tiger by SA Gaming, which is a toned variant of Baccarat. On both game variants, you bet on the Player, a Tie (War), or Dealer. The value of each card is 2 to Ace, with 2 the lowest value and Ace the highest value.

Personally, I prefer the War on Bets version compared to SA Gaming’s live Dragon Tiger demo because BetGames free play version allows you to bet and play as if you were playing the real money version of the game. I also like that War of Bets has variable odds depending on the cards left in the deck and the outcome of the first card dealt by the dealer, thus giving you a second round of betting. As for bet types, I’ve laid them all out in the bullet point sections below.

In the game rules section, BetGames says that maximum and minimum betting limits are set by the gambling company. On the demo version supplied here on Demoslot.com, the min-max bets are €1.00 to €50.00 for each bet type

  • 1.91x – ‘Player’ wins with a higher card value than the ‘Dealer’ spot
  • 1.87x – ‘Dealer’ wins with a higher card value the ‘Player’ spot

How to Play War of Bets

War of Bets Betgames
War of Bets Betgames

Like BetGames Bet on Poker and Bet on Baccarat game titles, War of Bets has several rounds of betting. Although as the game implies, the Dealer goes to war versus the Player, although you can choose to bet whether the dealer or player wins with a higher card. Before the cards are dealt, you can bet on one or more possible outcomes during the first betting round. For each bet, simply one tap the betting options you want to stake, enter the amount on the bet slip and submit the bet. A lock symbol will show when the betting timer hits 0 seconds.

Once the dealer flips out the first card, new odds are shown on your screen, and the second betting round begins. You now have 18 seconds to bet on the same or different outcomes. Also, new and previous bets don’t affect one another, so in a way, you can hedge your bets if the first card doesn’t complement your initial bet.

At the end of the second round of betting, the dealer reveals their card, and the result is announced. A tool I often used while plating War of Bets was the +1, +3, +5, +10, +50, or +100, which would repeat my initial bet each round. With bets automatically set, I could focus on hedging against my auto bets if the first card was counterproductive.

Pros

  • Simple and fast-paced for relaxing live casino gameplay.
  • Two betting rounds allow you to hedge against your initial bet.
  • You can play live or virtual, but all results are still non-RNG outcomes.

Cons

  • The simplicity of the game can make it feel repetitive after several rounds.
  • BetGames doesn’t reveal the RTP for bet type in the rules.

War of Bets Review Final Thoughts

Although I found War of Bets one of the easiest games to play, the large number of betting options still makes the game a brain teaser. I found myself going deep into the various betting options, but mostly for small returns in the long run. I played roughly 300 to 350 rounds and always staked one of the main bets using the bet slip’s auto-betting options. Also, if War didn’t appear for at least 10 hands, I would stake this bet every round until it came in. My other bets I kept switching between were dealers card red and players card red, which seems to work!
