We’re starting as always at the paytable, and five tough-looking mobsters represent the premium value symbols. Whacked is played initially upon a 5×3 grid with 243 paylines in play. The number of ways to win can be increased to a maximum of 7,776 when xWays symbols land in view. Players must land at least three matching symbols on adjacent reels from left to right to be awarded a win.

Avalanche Reels

Also known as cascading and tumbling reels, the avalanche reels activate when a winning combination is formed on the reels. Initially, all winning symbols are removed from the reels before new symbols fall from above to give extra chances to win.

Xways

Whenever an xWays symbol lands on the reels, it will expand to 2 – 4 symbols – always creating half symbols. The half symbol sizes pay the same as a normal sized symbol and will remain in place until there are no more wins or avalanches.

Lock ‘n’ Load

Each time a winning combo occurs, the next group of bullets will be loaded into the cylinder. The Lock ‘N’ Load feature will activate once it is fully loaded with six bullets, and no more winning combinations occur.

During the bonus, each time a coin lands in view, its value will be added to the bottom of its respective reel, and your spins will be reset to 3. When the feature ends, all values are added together, and the total is applied to your stake. You are, however, given a chance to increase the size of your wins drastically if the xRevolver cylinder symbol lands in view, with it awarding one of the following modifiers.

xWays: Will always expand to reveal 3 coins ranging in value from 1x – 20x.

Final Thoughts

I did have quite high expectations for this slot after enjoying NLC's last release Disturbed, but unfortunately, I felt the provider has wasted an opportunity with Whacked, especially when they are known for pushing the boundaries on the topics they choose to create their games around. Yes, there is a bit of blue language in the game, but when you think of what Nolimit has knocked out in the past, Whacked is pretty tame in comparison.The main bonus is quite interesting, but just like I did, I'm sure you'll definitely be getting Hacksaw Gaming vibes from how it works, as it is very similar to the way a number of their bonus features operate, so there's nothing particularly new to engage in on that front.Overall, this has ended up in the bang average category, and it makes me wonder if Nolimit City can't create an out of this world mafia-themed online slot, then perhaps nobody can!
