Game Overview
While I’ve never tried one myself, I can imagine a successful bank heist requires a tremendous amount of planning, a lot of guts, plenty of luck, and probably a bit of inside help as well. However, in PG Soft’s latest release, Wild Heist Cashout, the thief makes it look easy as he regularly makes his way to the vaults and opens them so the reel turns completely wild and potentially gives you a nice bag of swag. I’m certainly not suggesting you should start practising your safe-cracking skills, but I do recommend you check out this review of a slot that features a double 5-reel configuration, a 2,500x max win, and a 96.77% RTP.
The first thing you’ll notice when you hit the spin button on Wild Heist Cashout is the reel configuration. The reels on the top-right half of the grid spin one way, and those at the bottom-left spin the other. Upon closer inspection, you’ll realise two sets of five reels are in play here. A diagonal line of Safe symbols is what splits the reels into two. The Thief Wild symbol can randomly land on any spin, and if he gets to one of the Safe symbols, he cranks it open to deliver an entire reel of wilds. The slot also offers a cascading reel mechanic, accompanied by increasing multipliers of up to 5x. The ultimate aim is the free spins bonus, as here, the prolific thief is guaranteed to appear on every spin, and those previously mentioned increasing multipliers are doubled.
As mentioned, any heist will require planning and practice, so rather than letting your greed rush you into such a daring heist for real money, you’d be better off honing your safe-cracking skills on the free-to-play Wild Heist Cashout slot demo below.
Wild Heist Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
Bank heists have long been a popular slot theme, mainly because they are linked with lots of that lovely green stuff called cash. Of course, similar to how bank robbers want instant riches by somehow getting into a bank vault, we all want to win bags of money playing slot games. I’m more than happy to stick to the latter, just because I don’t fancy any time in the slammer should anything go wrong. So, how about other games in this genre? Well, iSoftBet is one top-tier developer that has used the theme before when releasing the Diamond Heist Hold & Win slot, a well-designed title featuring random modifiers such as wilds, multipliers, mystery symbols, and two bonus games. Relax Gaming’s Mega Heist is another rated highly here at Demoslot, mainly because of a lucrative and entertaining bonus game that could land a jackpot worth 15,000x the stake.
Before you head off to check out those slots, you’ll want to see what riches you can grab playing Wild Heist Cashout. It makes sense that the Thief, also the Wild symbol, is where you’ll find the best payouts, and five of these on consecutive reels will net you 2.5x your bet. The remaining high-paying symbols are the Gold Bars and Red Gem, both returning 0.5x for a winning combo of five, whilst the Watch, Bundle of Cash, Pearl Necklace, Ring, and Coins all share equal values of 0.25x. As for the lower paying symbols, these are represented by the classic playing cards with the Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and Ten, all paying 0.15x for a completed line of five.
Planning your bank raid on Wild Heist Cashout can be as expensive or as cheap as you like, with the minimum price to play starting at €0.20, whilst at the other end of the spectrum, high rollers can dig deep and spin up to €100 a time.
Wild Heist Slot Base Game & Modifiers
As I touched upon in the opening paragraphs of this Wild Heist Cashout slot review, two sets of reels are in play. It might not look like it when you first play the slot, but you’ll quickly see the safe symbols split the two sets of reels diagonally. The first reels have a 5-4-3-2-1 configuration, while the others have the opposite with 1-2-3-4-5. Between the two reels are 240 ways to win and a potential max win of 2,500x the stake.
Creating winning combinations differs between the slots slightly, as the first set of reels requires three or more matching symbols on consecutive reels starting from the leftmost reel. In contrast, the second requires three or more across successive reels starting from the rightmost reel and moving left. A cascading reel feature adds to the winning potential of any spin by removing winning symbols so that new ones can fall in place and potentially create new payouts.
Wild Heist
The Thief symbol plays a big part in the base game and free spins feature. During the base, he can randomly appear on either set of reels. If the symbol helps to create a winning combination, the Thief will move one position (up or down) closer to the safe on its reel. If the thief symbol reaches a safe, that reel turns wild. The Thief then moves to another random position, and the process starts over.
Progressive Multiplier
Above the base game grids, you’ll see the 1x, 2x, 3x, and 5x multiplier values. Each spin starts on the 1x multiplier, but each consecutive cascade win on a single spin will unlock the next available multiplier. This continues until the maximum 5x multiplier is unlocked. The multiplier value currently unlocked will apply to all future wins on a spin before the multiplier resets back to 1x for the start of the next spin.
Wild Heist Slot Bonus Features
There is one main bonus round on Wild Heist Cashout, and landing three scatters in view in the base game will give you eight free spins, while any additional triggering scatter symbols will provide an additional two each.
Free Spins Feature
The free spins play out similar to the base game but for a few differences. Firstly, the multipliers above the reels are now doubled to 2x, 4x, 6x, and 10x, and secondly, the Theif Wild symbol is ever-present on the reels. It will move to a new random position on each spin. Finally, you’ll earn an additional free spin each time the +1 symbol appears on the reels.
Pros
- Cascades and multipliers always work well together - but I also like the addition of the wild transformations.
- A solid RTP of 96.75%.
Cons
- Although decent, the free spins bonus is underwhelming.
Wild Heist Slot Review Final Thoughts
The concept of split reels paying in different directions is an interesting one, and it definitely adds to the gameplay experience. The stacked wilds also promise plenty of potential when they surface, especially when you’ve already achieved a decent win multiplier. Overall, this is a good addition to the PG Soft portfolio and a decent follow-up to their Ultimate Striker slot, which was the previous release before Wild Heist Cashout.
