Wild Link Frenzy Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
It seems awfully cheeky of Spinplay Games to borrow the word ‘frenzy’ from the Fishin’ Frenzy games for a slot that is obviously going to compete within the same niche. Let’s be honest though; the companies that create online slots have zero shame when it comes to things like this! It’s probably a good thing too – the chances are that we wouldn’t have anything like the diverse and varied library of online slots we do today if copyright and trademark rules were more stringently enforced. Wild Link Frenzy’s presentation doesn’t quite have the triple-A flair of Blueprint’s better-known franchise, but I’d say that it more than makes up for this with a varied and interesting feature set.
The fisherman is the highest-paying symbol available in Wild Link Frenzy, but as he only appears on reels two through five, I’m a little unsure how you are meant to obtain his stated 10x return for a full payline of five of a kind! A rather sketch-looking raft takes the second-place spot – I wouldn’t want to go fishing on it, but it will pay you 5x your total bet for all five symbols. Finally, there’s a tackle bag with a 4x payout for a complete payline and two separate bait hooks offering equal returns of 3x each. As for the low pays, the aces, kings, and queens will all award 2x the total bet for a five of a kind combination, whilst the jacks, tens, and nines are less valuable at 1x each.
The minimum/maximum permitted wagers in this game are €0.20 are €50.00, respectively. And with more than 20 other intermediate bets also available between these two amounts, there should be more than enough choice for all those that want to try the slot out for real money.
Base Game & Modifiers
The base game of Wild Link Frenzy uses a typical five reel, three row layout, and each session kicks off with 20 active paylines. All of the regular pay table prizes require at least three matching symbols on adjacent reels starting from the left to award a win.

I was a little confused when I first read the paytable of this game, as it gave a prize for five wilds on the same page as stating that wilds do not appear on all five reels! So here’s the secret – a stacked wild fisherman symbol can appear on reel one only!
Each time the fisherman shows up, he will trigger the game’s Wild Link feature. You don’t need to worry if part of this symbol is cut off at the top or bottom of the screen, as he will automatically nudge into the centre of the reel whenever a round finishes with him partially in view. During the base game, the Wild Link feature can add up to three rows above reels two through five.
Fish Frenzy
The reels are filled with many fish frenzy symbols, each of which has a cash prize attached to it. The only way to collect these prizes is to land a wild fisherman on reel one, as he will collect any fish frenzy prizes that are visible on the same game round that he appears.
Jackpot Bonus
At the end of any paid spin (or wild link feature), a jackpot bonus game may be randomly awarded. This is a pick-me bonus that will award the corresponding jackpot after you select three identical symbols:

Free Spins / Epic Free Spins
During both free spin modes, the Wild Link Feature is enhanced with the ability to extend the playfield with six additional rows rather than the three available in the base game.

Bonus Buy
The cost to purchase a set of free spins in Wild Link Frenzy is 110x the normal price per spin. Purchasing a feature in this manner will automatically award the epic free spin mode, which makes it highly advantageous to trigger the bonus in this manner rather than doing so organically from the base game.
To counter this, the developer has also added the ability to upgrade a regular set of free spins to the epic variety at the cost of 50x the current price per spin. Unfortunately, this won’t help players in regions where such features are prohibited. Still, I love the idea of allowing players to pay to upgrade a regular bonus to the ‘super’ variant! I really hope that other developers will consider including a similar facility in their games in the future.

- What is it with 5,000x win caps? Yes, none of us would complain about hitting that, but can't we at least see a minimum of 10,000x on a high volatile game?

Yes, it’s yet another fishing-themed online slot, but the crazy thing is that it’s rather good! You’ll almost certainly have to rely on the game to tell you when you’ve won anything, as there are different paylines active for every possible playfield size, but this isn’t a major issue when considering the great feature set and big win potential.
