It appears that our search engine agrees with me when it comes to crypt and crypto – searching for the former term returns only Pragmatic Play’s Crypt of the Dead before a link to our Cryptocurrency Casinos section. In comparison to Megawayas games with up to 117,649 payways, 40 lines sound almost laughably diminutive. It does seem like enough, somehow – but only just!
Lucky Loops
During the base game, you’ll want to try and collect as many ‘Accumulation’ symbols as possible. These symbols come into play on every tenth base game spin when the Lucky Loops feature is automatically triggered. When this occurs, expanding multiplier wilds are added to cover all positions of one or more random columns – the exact number is determined according to the number of collected Accumulation symbols.

The main free spins bonus round is activated by hitting three or more bonus scatter symbols on a single base game spin. The paytable mentions that three bonus symbols pay 2x the total bet, whilst four will return 6x the total bet – there’s no mention of any payouts for five or six scatters, which makes me believe that it probably is not possible to hit more than four of them.
Free Spins
During the free spins, the reel strips feature additional expanding wild and sticky multiplier wild symbols. Whenever a sticky multiplier wild lands, it will take on a value determined by the number currently shown on the meter located next to the playfield. The value of this meter is automatically incremented with every free spin that passes until it reaches a predefined limit – the higher your Hyperbet setting is, the higher the value these symbols can be worth.
A full re-trigger is not possible in this game, but you do receive one additional spin for every scatter that lands on the reels whilst the feature is active.

Some wacky numbers are going on with this machine! I couldn’t help but wonder if I was making a mistake somewhere, but after triple-checking my figures, I can confirm the following prices for the bonus buy facility:

Final Thoughts
Wilds From the Crypt undoubtedly has a few flaws, but the overall package manages to come out swinging thanks to a generous jackpot and two exciting special features. I’d wager that we will see a Megaways update to this game sometime during the next year if it does as well as I’d expect.
