The first thing of note when spinning the reels of Glow Dig is that there’s a horizontal reel that spins independently from the grid below. Its purpose is to spin in collector symbols that will scoop up money symbols worth up to 100x the stake. If you trigger the free spins bonus, which gives you free spins until the horizontal reel does not contain a collect symbol, those cash values could be worth up to 5,000x the stake. Speaking of digging around, you won’t have to do much of it to find other free slot games in this genre on our site. Hunting for gold or diamonds is a theme you’ll run into quite a bit in any slot lobby, and in all fairness, some are pretty good, it has to be said. Quickspin’s Mine & Melt, for example, is a solid option. It has a 4×4 grid layout and features stacked wild symbols with win multipliers of up to 4x and two bonus games. If you’d rather spin with the chance of becoming an instant millionaire, 4ThePlayer’s 5k Gold Mine Dream Drop is the obvious choice, although even if you don’t hit that progressive jackpot win you’ve dreamed of, there’s a bunch of other lucrative features that could net you some payouts such as the Gold Rush Trail.
Unfortunately, you won’t find any jackpots on Glow Dig, but the paytable lists some decent symbol payouts. The Red Gem returns 25x the stake when five line up across a payline, while the Yellow, Green, and Blue Gems offer up to 20x, 15x, and 10x, respectively. Aside from Max Win Gaming once again producing an eye-catching slot, I’m struggling to think of much that really stands out about Glow Dig. It’s okay, but nothing is new; we’ve seen the same theme and the mechanics repeatedly, so I’d recommend giving it a try, but I’m pretty sure it's not going to become a go-to slot for many of you.
