Grim The Splitter Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
I can’t help but think of the grim reaper when I look at the person challenging you in Grim the Splitter; perhaps that is the whole point, though! Searching our slot library for the grim reaper didn’t turn up many relevant results though – Print Studio’s insane Reapers online slot definitely does not qualify! Looking at the theme from another angle, I used to play another card game-based online slot named Kings of Chicago, but that seems to have disappeared around the time online casinos transitioned from Flash to HTML5. It takes a great deal of creativity to blend cards and slots into a coherent machine, but if it’s done well, the results can be awesome. This obviously leads us to the question – is Grim the Splitter any good?!
The symbols on the paytable are all represented by card backs with pictures of a variety of stray animals, and I’ll give the colour of each as well as my best guess as to which animal the picture is supposed to be! I will also provide payouts for five, ten, and twenty symbols to cover the maximum wins of the base, split, and bonus game. Splitter Feature
Every time a wild lands, the game will activate the splitter feature. This will cause the entire reel containing the wild to split into two columns, duplicating any symbols located directly above and below.
During the base game, it is only possible to split each of the five reels once. When the free spins feature is active, however, each reel can be divided up to three times. Should this occur, it is possible to amass as many as 20 individual symbols on a single payline.

The main bonus round can be triggered by simultaneously hitting three or more flaming “B” scatter symbols. A three-scatter trigger will award seven free spins as standard, plus one extra spin for each additional scatter symbol.
Free Spins

I’m a huge fan of poker, so these types of card-based slots really appeal to me. The ability to split each reel into multiple cards gives this machine great depth and possibility that you don’t tend to find in many online slots. That being said, I did find it difficult to unlock extra symbols – never mind landing a winning combination on the resulting reels!
If you don’t mind volatility at its most extreme, then you’ll enjoy what Relax has produced here, but I probably wouldn’t recommend that you play this game when your bankroll is running low.
