Magic Ace Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
We haven’t reviewed many JDB Gaming slots here to date, but despite that, this slot reminds me very much of one of those we have. Trump Card is more or less the same slot, albeit with a slightly different theme. The only difference is the addition of Golden Cards and Joker Cards – which is enough to classify it as a different slot, I guess. Another similar game to try if you like the idea behind this theme is the Super Ace demo from Jili Games, a medium volatile slot with a max win of 1,500x.
As for the symbol payouts in Magic Ace, the Ace, unsurprisingly, is the highest value with a return of 2.5x for a 5-symbol combination. The King tops out at 2x, while the Queen and Jack return a maximum of 1.5x and 1x, respectively. The Spades and Hearts are the pick of the bunch regarding the lower pays, sharing a 0.5x maximum return, whilst the Diamonds and Clubs have equal payouts of 0.25x.
To start the action on Magic Ace, you must spend a minimum of €0.20, with the maximum stake at €2.00 a play. There are just five staking options in total on our free demo, but the real money version will offer far more choices irrespective of the jurisdiction you are playing in.
Magic Ace Slot Base Game
The Magic Ace slot features 5 reels and 4 rows, with 1,024 ways to win. Regular symbol combinations are formed when three or more matching symbols line up across consecutive reels starting from the leftmost reel.
Cascading Reels & Booming Multipliers
When winning combos are formed and paid, the symbols involved are removed from the reels so that more can fall into play. The new symbols can form additional wins, which is where the Booming Multipliers come into play.
Above the reels, a meter displays the 1x, 2x, 3x, and 5x multiplier values. If a win occurs, any further cascading wins move the meter to the next highest. The current multiplier active will apply to any wins on the reels.
Furthermore, each Super Joker symbol that lands during the base game is collected, and once five have been amassed, the multiplier values upgrade to 2x, 3x, 4x, and 6x and remain for three spins before they reset back. As you’ll see in the next section, the Joker symbols do not land on the reels directly.
Golden Cards & Joker Cards
Regular-paying symbols with a gold background can land on the second, third, and fourth reels, and if they’re involved in a winning combination, they will transform into one of three Joker Cards.
There’s the Small Joker, Big Joker, and Super Joker, each acting as a wild symbol. Only the Super Joker is collected in the meter above the reels, while the other two Jokers upgrade to the next one when involved in a winning combination.
Extra Bet
If you activate the Extra Bet feature, you’ll spin with all the base game multipliers upgraded. Each spin costs an additional 50% on top of your current spin bet.
Magic Ace Slot Bonus Features
Landing three or more scatter symbols in the base game on Magic Ace will trigger a free spins bonus with an enhanced multiplier upgrade feature variation.
Free Spins Feature
You receive 10 free spins of the reels, and during this bonus game, the multipliers above the reels start at 2x, 4x, 6x, and 10x. Every time a Super Joker symbol appears on the reels, each of the multipliers will increase by 1x. The multipliers can increase by a maximum of 10 times during the free spins bonus.

Magic Ace Slot Review Final Thoughts
As mentioned previously, this looks like an upgraded version of JDB Gaming’s Trump Card slot, which isn't a bad thing per se, as it's a definite improvement. Is it enough of an improvement to allow it to compete with other 1,024 ways to win cascading slot titles? That’s another thing altogether.
