The Tumbles Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
It feels a little harsh to keep drawing comparisons between The Tumbles and Fred and Wilma without giving you a slot to play so you can see them side by side. Thankfully, in 2024, Blueprint Gaming released The Flintstones slot, which offers completely different mechanics to The Tumbles, so don’t forget to try it when you’re done with today’s review. If both of these games have given you the urge to try more slot games with a prehistoric theme, Blueprint also released the excellent and highly volatile Primal Megaways, whilst Relax Gaming has Primal Times in their slot armoury, too.
Let’s move onto the pays section now on The Tumbles, and unfortunately, Relax hasn’t named the characters individually, so we’ll have to refer to them by their colours. From the top, we have the Red Guy worth 1x for a six of a kind win, the Purple Lady worth 0.6x, with the Blue Girl, Light Green Girl and Dark Green Girl completing the premium section with equal returns of 0.4x for a full line of six. The lower value symbols come in the form of card suits with the Heart, Spade, Diamond, and Club, all of which share payouts of 0.2x. The Tumbles Slot Base Game & Modifiers
The Tumbles slot is played on a grid of 6×6, but not all positions are active on every spin, so unless you fully unlock the grid, which we’ll discuss later, you’ll not get to play with the maximum of 46,656 ways to win. All wins are created when three or more symbols match on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel first.
Cascading Reels & Blocker Symbols
The blocker symbols are what stop you from playing with the maximum ways to win, but the good news is that these can be removed via the cascading reels mechanic, which triggers each time a winning combo is formed. Additionally, any blocker symbol adjacent to a winning symbol will be smashed and become active for the following reel tumble. If all blocker positions are removed, a x10 multiplier symbol is guaranteed to land when new symbols fall.
Multipliers
Multipliers can appear as either active or inactive symbols ranging in value from 2x to 10x. If they are inactive, they will need to be next to a winning symbol so they can be smashed open. Once all wins have been added together at the end of a spin, any multipliers in view will be totalled and applied to the win.
The Tumbles Slot Bonus Features
The main bonus round on The Tumbles is triggered when three bonus scatters land in view, awarding 8 free spins, with each extra scatter that lands thereafter adding 1 extra spin to your starting total.

The Tumbles may have recycled lots of parts from previous Relax Gaming releases, but it's still a fun slot game to play with the global multiplier in the free spins round, having the potential to reward you handsomely.
