Every spin in the base game will start with 6 columns that are 4 rows high, each time a winning cascade is achieved then the the amount of rows will increase by one, which in turn increases the amount of ways to win. Voodoo Gold Big Symbols
At any time during a symbol drop it is possible for a super, mega, or epic symbol to drop down. These symbols can be 2×2 in size, 3×3, or 4×4. Players should note that these symbols only become active and can make up part of a win when they reach the bottom.
A nice little added extra to these symbols are that any spaces that are left empty underneath them will be filled with wilds. These wilds will keep appearing even if they are used to make up part of a win until the big symbol can move down a position and leave no voids, as shown in our picture above.
Voodoo Gold Bomb Feature
The bomb feature can take place in two different forms on Voodoo Gold, and for it to happen at all you will need to have a bomb symbol in view, these symbols also act as the scatter symbol.
A single bonus bomb landing will trigger the bomb feature, this will explode surrounding symbols, and give more spaces for symbols to drop down into on the following avalanche. Two bonus bombs landing will trigger the dual bomb feature, this will explode symbols along a straight line between the two bombs together will all identical symbol instances in view, this again can create more spaces for further wins, and more importantly a chance to trigger the free spin bonus.
Voodoo Gold Slot Free Spin Feature
To trigger the free spin feature on Voodoo Gold you will need to land 3 or more of the bonus scatter symbols anywhere in view. The amount of scatters that you trigger the bonus with will determine how many free drops the bonus begins with, and they are as follows.

As the free drop round begins you are hoping to hit as many winning combinations as possible, not only will these combinations trigger the avalanche feature, just as in the base game it will increase the height of the rows by 1 for each consecutive cascade that you achieve.
The feature will start out with the basic reel set up of 4096 paylines, so hitting the wins and increasing the height of the rows is extremely important. A winning free drop will move the safety level up one position, and players should note that the safety level never decreases during an ongoing bonus round.
As well as winning combos you ideally want to be seeing plenty of wild symbols on the reels as well. During your bonus round all wilds are collected and kept at the bottom when a free drop ends, these will become sticky wilds and remain in play for the remainder of your bonus round, collecting a large amount of these can lead to some really impressive hits towards the end of the feature.
The free drops feature can be re-triggred and this is achieved by again landing 3 or more of the scatters anywhere in view. You will be awarded either 6, 9, 12, or 15 extra spins for a 3, 4, 5, or 6 scatter re-trigger.

We’ve enjoyed previous slot titles from Elk Stuidos in the past such as Ecuador Gold, so we were really looking forward to getting to grips with Voodoo Gold. We found it to be enjoyable to play, but just like our experiences on Ecuador Gold it was quite difficult to bonus, but luckily the base game chipped it with plenty of wins and features to keep us entertained.
